The Program

A 2-week Core, a paid apprenticeship in handyman and building maintenance, then specialization, leadership and ownership.

Earn While You Learn

Advance on hours and skill, not just the calendar.

Apprentices finish when they have completed at least 2,000 paid work hours (up to 3,000), shown the required skills and finished their classes. Those who work full time can finish sooner. Part-time options are available for people with families or other commitments.

HIMP’s registered apprenticeship is pending approval by the U.S. Department of Labor. Terms are subject to final registration.
